Robin P. Swynenburg, 56, of Yakima, peacefully passed away on December 30, 2018 at Cottage in the Meadow, following a courageous and exhausting battle with cancer.  He was born on January 11, 1962 in Prosser, WA. He graduated from Grandview High and right after joined the Marines and proudly served our country.  

He married Suzette Lenseigne on October 20, 1984.
Robin was presently employed with the East Valley School District for the past 2 years.  His true passion was driving down the road in a Peterbilt.  He was a very proud truck driver.  He spent 27 years on the road doing what he loved and passed that on to his family.  He also enjoyed camping at Elk Camp with the guys and telling jokes and stories to his friends and family.
He is survived by his loving wife, Suzette, of Yakima, and their sons, Zachary (Oksana) and Brandon (Jennifer) Swynenburg as well as his 5 grandchildren, Brylee, Olivia, Jaelyn, Rhett, and Laney, whom he dearly loved. He is also survived by his parents, Albert and Marveline Swynenburg, mother-in-law, Agnes Lenseigne, his brother, Kevin (Tricia) Swynenburg, his sisters, Kimber Bang (Eric) and Ginger Jacobsen (Tom), his brothers-in-law, Archie Lenseigne, Dean Lenseigne (Ricki), and LeRoy Lenseigne (Connie), his sister-in-law, Suzanna Dugan (Jack), and numerous nephews and nieces.
A Celebration of Robin’s Life will be held on Thursday, January 24, 2019 at 11:00 AM at Brookside Funeral Home, (500 W Prospect, Moxee), followed by a reception at New Hope Community Church (29 Channel Dr, Yakima). In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested to Cottage in the Meadow and sent in care of Brookside Funeral Home (PO Box 1267, Moxee, WA 98936), who is caring for the family.
