Jack F. Dover age 85 passed away with his family by his side on November 17th, 2018. Jack had been on Hospice for two years prior to his death. He was born on May 18th, 1933 in Baxter Springs Kansas to Frank James and Etta Mae Dover. Jack proudly served in the United States Navy and was honorably discharged in 1962 as an electrician’s mate, 3rd Class. He also worked for Russ Dunmire Oldsmobile in Tacoma for many years.

In addition to the Navy, Jack was actively involved in the Masonic Lodge, progressing all the way through Scottish Rite and York Rite ranks. He also became a Shriner and enjoyed working with families and children to help provide much needed medical services that were otherwise unobtainable. 

Jack is survived by his two daughters Jill Godwin, Jennifer Johnson, her husband Mark Johnson. He also has four grandsons, Ethan and Tye Johnson, and Bryce and Hunter Godwin. In addition, Jack has two granddaughters, Grace and Megan Godwin. Lastly, he is survived by his two nieces, Tanya Flateau and Kimberle Carlson.
A Military Honors service was held this past Saturday, November 24th, 2018 at the New Tacoma Cemetery. The family would like to thank Hospice and Hospice Friends for their amazing support over the last two years.
