Jack A. Casseday passed away on Sept.27,2018. He was the youngest of three sons born to Allen and Edna (Cheney) on Feb.25,1924 in Walla Walla, Washington. Mostly raised by his grandparents, he joined the Army and served in WWII from March 4, 1943 to December 23,1945. He married Lois Rochel on February 17,1949. They bought a house in Seattle and started a family. Three daughters later they bought land in Naches and built a Panabode house in 1967. Dad and mom lived in that home until both passed away.

Dad was truly a "jack" of all trades. There wasn't much he couldn't fix or repair. He built some beautiful pieces of furniture. He was a great horse show dad. He could always be counted on to help at the shows. I think one of his saddest days was when we daughters didn't need him to haul the horses anymore because we were more than capable of driving ourselves. Dad loved music and reading and living up in the Nile. He had an opinion on just about everything and wasn't shy about sharing it. He believed it was important to vote. He loved to argue. He wanted to live to be 100. He worked hard for his family and we will miss him.
Dad was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, Bob and Bill, his wife, Lois and his oldest daughter, Lizzy Casseday. He is survived by his two daughters, Sara (David) Jenssen and Erin Casseday, four grandkids, Dru Jenssen, Abby (Keith) Morrissey, Leif (Alexis) Jenssen and Jake (Megan) Buchanan. Also, two great grandkids, with one on the way. Sorry you won't get to meet her, dad.
At the family's request there will be no services at this time.
