Ed was born March 4, 1934 on the family farm in West Wapato to George and Sophie (Sybouts) Geffe and passed September 11, 2018, at the age of 84.

He graduated from Wapato High School in 1953. While in school he participated in FFA, baseball, football and gymnastics.  He joined the Army in January 1955 and was honorably discharged October 1956.  Ed was a proud veteran and was an active member in the Wapato American Legion,
where he made special lifetime friends.
Ed’s occupations were farmer, waiter at the Chinook Tower and construction.  He worked for his brother John in construction for many years.  He then went to work in his brother Elmer’s (Pete) business, International Homes of Cedar, where he constructed homes all over the world.  His work and play extended to Alaska, Hawaii, Japan, Thailand, Israel and numerous other European countries.
Ed had a laid-back personality, loved to laugh and was known as a jokester. He was a proud and loving uncle and his nieces and nephews have many memories and stories that he shared.  Some of the stories can’t be repeated, who are we kidding, many!
Preceded in death by his parents George and Sophie (Sybouts) Geffe, brother John and wife Rae Dean Geffe and one niece. He is survived by his sister Veleta and husband Bill Stobaugh; brother Elmer (Pete) and wife Patricia Geffe; cousins Bruce and Gordon Geffe, whom he had a very close and special bond with, and 10 nieces and nephews.
A casual remembrance will be held at the Wapato American Legion, Saturday, September 22nd at 3:00 p.m.
