Bruce R. Williams, age 68, of Yakima and beloved spouse of 51 years, Jane (Brabrook) Williams, died peacefully at Cottage in the Meadow, Yakima on September 4, 2018 of pancreatic cancer. Bruce was born February 21, 1950 in Monroe, WA to Weldon Harter and Ella Mae (Hegewald) Williams; moved to Wenatchee Valley in 1953; married his high school sweetheart at 17 and graduated from Eastmont High School in 1968. He attended Wenatchee Valley College, received his BS in nursing from WSU Intercollegiate School of Nursing in Spokane ’74 and Masters of Nursing in Occupational Health from UW ’80. Bruce was at the forefront of promoting health to thousands of industrial and agricultural workers throughout Washington including Alcoa (Wenatchee, Addy, Vancouver), Boeing, Wenatchee Valley Clinic for 14 years, and dozens of corporations throughout Central Washington. Moving to Yakima in 2006, he was honored to serve employees and service members at the Yakima Training Center, retiring in 2016. Bruce spent a lifetime serving others, volunteering with many church and community organizations. He was a member of Peace Lutheran Church in Selah. 
He is survived by his wife, Jane; son, Andrew Bruce Williams, son-in-law, Juan Teran, grandson, Benjamin Williams Teran, Long Beach, CA; son, Kenneth A. Williams of Yakima; also survived by his mother, Ella Mae (Williams) Tofte; and siblings, Linda Mitchell, Roger Williams, John Williams, Julie McLean, and their families. 
A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, September 8, 2018 at Peace Lutheran Church in Selah at 11:00am. Memorial contributions may be made to WSU Intercollegiate School of Nursing or the Union Gospel Mission in Yakima in care of Brookside Funeral Home (PO Box 1267, Moxee, WA 98936), who is caring for the family.
