 Warren Gilbert Otteson, age 82, passed away on July 29, 2018.

He was born on June 30, 1936 in Minneapolis, Minnesota to the late Rev. Gilbert and Judith Otteson.   Warren graduated from high school at Minnehaha Academy in Minneapolis, MN.  His college work was completed at the University of Washington.  
He was preceded in death by his father, mother, and sisters Phyllis Andersen of Sudden Valley, WA and Marian Andersen of Lombard, IL.  
He is survived by his wife of 30 years, Dorothy M. Otteson of Yakima, his five children – Sherri Hanke and her husband Pete, Ted Otteson and his wife April, Carmen Wyatt and her husband David, Douglas Otteson, and David Otteson with his wife Amy. Additionally, Warren is survived by his seventeen grandchildren, his brother, Dr. Evan Otteson and his wife Gloria of Mercer Island and his first wife and mother of his children, Marcia Otteson, of Snohomish, WA.
His early employment began at JC Penny in Bellevue.  He then traveled for fifteen years in the apparel industry.  During this time, he owned and operated The Cottage Lake Blueberry Farm.  His next forty years were spent in Real Estate and Banking.  Beginning in 1988, he and his wife owned and operated Lake Cavanaugh Realty Inc. for nineteen years in Mt. Vernon, WA.
Warren’s hobbies involved all sports.  In 1982, he became president of the Kirkland National Little League.  The Kirkland team became World Champions.  He was an elder in the Presbyterian Church and a Washington Blueberry commissioner.  Warren was also a committed volunteer for the Lake Cavanaugh Community Center.  
On Sunday, August 5th, a Celebration of Life service will be held at the Lake Cavanaugh Community Center located at 35022 S. Shore Dr., Mt. Vernon WA 98274.  To honor Warren’s wishes, memorial contributions may be made to the Lake Cavanaugh Community Association in care of Brookside Funeral Home (PO Box 1267, Moxee, WA 98936).
