Wayne A. Steinbacher passed away on May 27th, 2018 at home with his family at his side. 
 
Wayne was born January 23rd, 1947 to Rudolph and Daisy Steinbacher in Sunnyside, WA. He grew up in Outlook, WA, attending Outlook, Grandview, and Sunnyside schools, graduating from Grandview in 1965. Wayne enlisted in the Navy and served in the Vietnam War aboard the USS Oklahoma City, returning home in 1969. Wayne loved working out, hot rods, airplanes, classic rock music, WWE Wrestling, and all animals.
 
He left behind his wife of 37 years, Elise Steinbacher, and two daughters, Wendy Adele Scott and son-in-law Buffalo Scott from Arkansas and Amber Nichole Russell and son-in-law Jeremy Russell from Yakima. Wayne will be deeply missed. 
 
We are going to spend the afternoon Celebrating dad's Life on Saturday, August 25th, 2018 at the McAllister Museum of Aviation (2008 S. 16th Ave, Yakima, WA 98903) from 1:00-4:00pm with full Military Honors at 2:00pm. We are celebrating so many of the things he loved; music, pictures, stories, food, airplanes, and if you have a classic car, bring that! And bring the kids; he loved all of them.
