It is with great sadness that the family of Gerald William Lohnes announces his passing after a long six-month battle with cancer. He joins his son Keith in heaven, who passed away eleven years ago.

He was born in Brock, Nebraska to Raymond and Myrtle Lohnes, on October 25, 1936. The family moved to Seattle where Gerald was raised with his six siblings. He graduated from Roosevelt High School
Gerald spent six years in the Army National Guard, during this time he met and married the love of his life, Lois Towne, on October 3, 1958, this year would have marked their 60th Anniversary. Together they raised two children, son Keith and daughter Kimberlee. They resided in Kirkland for sixty years.
In 1998 he and Lois bought a second home in Cle Elum, where he knew he wanted to retire. He loved snowmobiling and the smell of fresh pine in the air. 
He was an incredible man, Sincere, honest, loving, hard working and devoted husband and father. For many years, he along with daughter Kim, owned and operated Cedar Creek Builders Construction Company and Seattle Eastside Building Inspections, Inc. 
Gerald is survived by his loving wife, Lois, daughter Kimberlee, grandson Jayden, one brother and four sisters along with many nieces and nephews. 
He was preceded in death by his parents, son Keith, brother Connie.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Sunday, May 20, at noon,  270 Richards Rd, Cle Elum.
