Kenneth Roy Libsack, 86, of Yakima passed away Thursday, April 26, 2018. He was born on April 14, 1932 in Lyman, Nebraska to Alex and Helen Libsack.

He is survived by his four daughters, Lorrie (Kevin) Fisher, Kari Pace, Diane Libsack, and Jeri (Scott) Harrison. He is also survived by seven grandchildren, Kevin Fisher Jr, Derek Fisher, Ashley Bolt, Justin Pace, Jordan Pace, Tara Rauen, Cassey Libsack, and seven great grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his wife of 63 years, Marlene, sister, Frances Milton, and brother, Sandy Libsack.
He was a member of the Lutheran Church in Yakima.
He farmed sugar beets, corn, beans, and wheat and raised black angus cattle in Alliance, NE. He farmed there for over 20 years before moving the family to Sunnyside, WA in January of 1973. He purchased an orchard at the end of Van Belle Road. He didn’t know anything about growing fruit trees, but quickly figured it out. Close to retirement he purchased Star Realty in Grandview, WA and became a realtor/broker. He enjoyed showing his clients houses and farmland. Upon retiring he and Marlene moved to Yakima. He loved playing pinochle, watching western shows, dancing, and the Seattle Mariners.
He could make friends with anyone, never knew a stranger. All he had to do was crack a joke and flash that big contagious smile. We will miss him dearly.
A private family service will be held at a later date.
