Linda Kincannon, 62, of Yakima went to be with Jesus on April 4, 2018.
She fought many courageous battles with cancer in her life and the esophageal cancer that spread to her liver was just too much for her to bear.

Linda was born to Wesley and Elzada Dunn, July 18, 1955, in Yakima. Linda graduated from IKE in 1973 and received an AA degree from YVC. She married Rick Kincannon in April 1975 and would have celebrated their 43rd anniversary this month. They first met in grade seven at Franklin Middle School. After marriage they lived in San Diego two years while Rick was in the Navy before moving back to Yakima.

Linda was a bulk mail technician at the Yakima Post Office as well as a window clerk at Moxee and Naches.   She retired after serving 21 years but her main job in life was being the best mom she could be to her son Matthew. He and his wife Sierra recently moved back to Yakima from the Boston area and Linda could not have been happier.

Linda loved to travel but she especially loved the beach and collecting seashells from the various beaches we visited over the years.  She was compassionate, loving and the most caring person you could ever meet, and her many friends and family can attest to that. Her life centered around her faith, church, family and friends. She will be sorely missed by all.

Linda is survived by her husband, Rick, and their son, Matthew (Sierra) Kincannon; sister Loese (Bill) Ford; aunts, uncles, cousins; and she was blessed with two generations of nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by parents Wesley and Elzada Dunn; sister Karen and brother Dwain Dunn.

The Memorial Service will be held on April 14, 2018 at Summit View Church of Christ (100 N. 72nd Ave) at 1:00 PM with a reception to follow. Memorial contributions are suggested to the Summit View Church of Christ’s Honduras Mission Trip and sent in care of Brookside Funeral Home (PO Box 1267, Moxee, WA, 98936), who is caring for the family.  Online condolences may be left at www.brooksidefhc.com
