 William B. Seubert passed away peacefully at home with Mary, his wife, by his side on April 3, 2018 after a short battle with cancer. Bill was born in Ellensburg on January 3, 1940, to Barney and Peg Seubert. He grew up in Ellensburg attending Lourdes Academy and Ellensburg High School graduating in 1958. He then graduated from Seattle University majoring in Business and with a minor in Theology. He worked for Boeing in Seattle for a few years before returning to Ellensburg to take over the family Hardware store. He married Mary McManamy on July 22, 1967.

Bill and Mary raised their family in Ellensburg where he was deeply involved in the community. He was a faithful parishioner at St. Andrews Catholic Church. He served as Director of the Ellensburg Rodeo for 30 years helping to start several long-standing Rodeo traditions including the Volunteer Appreciation Dinner and the Posse Breakfast. As a local business man, Bill was a member and President of the Ellensburg Rotary Club and contributed to establishing the Central Investment Fund to provide financial aid to deserving Central Washington University Students. In his youth, Bill enjoyed swimming, tennis and skiing, and in his later years loved golfing with his buddies at the Ellensburg “Goat Ranch.”

Bill is survived by his wife, Mary; his daughters, Trish (Brad) Buswell and Meg Seubert; his sister, Peg Lemieux; his grandchildren, Brian, Kaitlyn and Piper Buswell; his great grandson, Landon Buswell; and dozens of nieces and nephews, grand nieces and nephews and great grand nieces and nephews, all of whom brought him great joy throughout his life. He was preceded in death by his parent. 
Services will be held at St. Andrews Catholic Church at 11:00 am, Thursday April 19, 2018 at 401 S. Willow, Ellensburg.
