Wilma Lorraine Adams was called home by her father in heaven on March 20, 2018.  Lorraine was born on March 23, 1927 in Blaine, KS.  Her father, George Leonard, and mother, Lenora Leonard Weeks, brought the family to the Yakima Valley at the end of the great depression.  Lorraine was the youngest of six children.

Lorraine graduated from Wapato High School.  She met Harold Wayne Adams at the soda shop in Wapato where she was working.  They married in June of 1946.  They were married 68 years before her loving husband Wayne passed away.  Lorraine and Wayne lived all of their married life in Wapato until they retired. They then moved to Yakima.  They raised five children; Joanne Schibig, Don (Judy) Adams, Teresa Adams, Doris (Dave) Roth, and Sue (Dave) Manning.
Lorraine was a lifetime member of the Roman Catholic Church.  She was a member of Holy Family Church.Lorraine loved music and loved to dance.  She and Wayne belonged to a dance club at one time.  Lorraine always loved the musical entertainment that came to Englewood Heights community.  One would often see her swaying in time to music and singing along to the songs she knew.
Lorraine loved being with family.  She was always happy to pack up and go camping, fishing, digging clams, or just taking a drive with the family.  She enjoyed getting together with her siblings and their families and with Wayne’s siblings and their families.  As children of Wayne and Lorraine Adams, you knew family was very important and lots of fun.
If you were at the home of Lorraine and Wayne’s you always heard this phase, “Can I get you something to eat?”  or “Can I get you something to drink”.  To the very end Lorraine always wanted to make sure you were well fed!  Loved that part of her!
Lorraine is preceded in death by her parents, her three brothers and two sisters and one great grandson.  She is survived by her five children, ten grandchildren, seventeen great grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren.
Viewing will be April 2, 2018 at Brookside Funeral Home beginning at 4:00 pm. The Rosary vigil will begin at 7:00pm.  Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday April 3,2018 at Holy Redeemer Catholic Church at 10:30am followed by Graveside service at Calvary Cemetery.
The family of Lorraine would like to thank all the staff at Englewood Heights and Arbor House for their love and care they gave to Mom.  Also, the staff with Memorial Hospice especially, Kathy, Maggie and Erika.  Your loving, caring souls meant so much to Mom and to us. In lieu of flowers please consider a donation to Hospice or your favorite charity.
Lorraine has finished the race and received her crown of glory.
