Becky Ruth (Anderson) Jensen was carried from her beloved family into the loving arms of her Lord in heaven, on Saturday, March 10, 2018. She was born to Walt and Alice Anderson on November 11th, 1954 in Seattle, WA. She began school in Renton and then moved with her family to Ellensburg where she graduated from EHS in 1973.

Becky was later blessed with two children, T.J. and Erika, with husband Tony Helland.
Eventually, Becky pursued her dream of becoming a registered nurse. She worked at Yakima Memorial Hospital, Harborview Medical Center and later at Kittitas Valley Community Hospital.
Becky met the love of her life, Neil Jensen, in 1986 and they married in 1990. She became affectionally known as “Beck”. Becky was not only a loving and caring wife, mom, and grandma, she was a devoted Christian woman and lived for the Lord. She loved the fellowship she shared with her church family, spreading her love of the Lord with everyone who knew her. With her craft skills she handmade cards for church members in need.
Becky and Neil loved to travel with family and friends; she was always up for an adventure. One of her favorite places was Copalis Beach, where they would celebrate their wedding anniversary each year. She loved the water and wherever they went she always brought back some sand.
Becky was an avid “I Love Lucy” fan and was so much like Lucy living in her fun, witty, world with Neil. As a grandmother she was awesome, creative, affectionate, loving, and gentle, with a contagious smile, spending hours making up and reading stories to her grandchildren. Grandma Becky had a craft room full of fun projects to enjoy, and even made clothing for her grandchildren at one time. There are stories of her amazing sewing skills, like when she made her eldest grandson Jalen a one-piece outfit that they couldn’t get on him. Apparently, she left off the buttons. She made many beautiful dresses for her granddaughters. Whether it was playing dolls on the living room floor, coloring at the table, taking long walks, looking at the birds, having a good old water balloon or silly string fight, it really didn’t matter, she just wanted to be a part of the fun. She was very hands on with her grandchildren.  Later, with a proud heart, she watched her grandsons wrestle and play football and traveled to Arizona to watch her granddaughters perform at school and on stage. She was their most devoted fan.
There was never a dull moment at the Jensen’s home. Becky always greeted people with a smile, a laugh, or sometimes wearing a clown nose or ears. Even though you never knew what to expect from this delightful, beautiful Christian lady, everything was done with grace and with love. Another passion of hers was cooking a delicious holiday meal with the family in which at some point we all knew to check the microwave or the oven for that one forgotten dish.
Becky is survived by husband Neil Jensen, son T.J. Helland, (Tionna), of Ellensburg, daughter; Erika (Gabe) Smith of Phoenix, AZ., grandchildren; Jalen, Cameron, Ethan and For’Ever, of Ellensburg, and Avery and Faith, of Phoenix, AZ. She is also survived by sister Penny (Bill) Kinder of Wenatchee and many loving nieces, nephews and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Walt and Alice Anderson and sister Shirley Swanson.
Thank you to the doctors and nurses, especially Andy Schock, Dr. Jones, nurse Cindy and the wonderful Hospice team.
