Myrle Junior Snider went home to be with his Lord and Savior on March 4, 2018, and boy, does he have some explaining to do!
Myrle was born in his family’s home on July 29, 1940 in Parker, WA to his mother, Ethel Marie McAllister, and father, James Barrett Snider. He was the youngest of five children; Mabel Hummer; Merideth Lewis; Mildred “Millie” Allen; and Melvin “Skip” Snider.
In 1959, Myrle joined the Navy, and he enjoyed his time as a veteran. After that, he had a career working in lumber yards, which he absolutely loved. He had two daughters: Becky Snider Abrams, and Julie McGovern. He spent his last years living with Becky and her two sons, Jordan and Samuel.
Whenever he could, Myrle spent his time outdoors - hunting, fishing, hiking… it didn’t matter as long as he was out in the fresh air.
Appropriately then, there will be a graveside service, including a military honor guard. Everyone is invited, as long as they don’t dress up much. Myrle appreciated the finer things in life, like boots, jeans and shirts that don’t button up, so come as you are.
Service will be held on Monday March 12 at 1:00 at High Valley Cemetery in the Prayer Garden, 2521 Robinson Canyon Road, Ellensburg. Everyone is invited to come celebrate his new home in heaven.
