Carol Marie (Ellis) McCart left this world to be with her true love Terrell McCart on Valentine’s Day, Feb. 14, 2018. Carol was born to Roy and Theresa Ellis on Apr. 30, 1940 in Yakima, Wa., where she lived most of her life. In March of 1957 she met the love of her life Terrell McCart at a dance and was married Oct. 19, 1957. They moved to different places over the years where they had 3 children, Lee in Louisiana, Sue in Yakima, Wa, and Norma in California, but they always came back to Yakima. Mom loved to travel, fish, read her books, puzzles, adult coloring and spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. After dad passed away, she got sick and had to go to a nursing home for rehabilitation at Good Samaritan Health Care Center. She found out she needed more care, so she stayed and loved it there. They spoiled her. While there, she met new friends and did a lot of activities which included trips to Walmart, Legends Casino and eating out. Mom also loved her bingo there. Nothing was to interfere with her bingo. I used to tease her that she needed to check her schedule to fit me in. She was such a social butterfly there. She will be missed by all who knew her.
Carol is survived by her children Lee (Rose), Sue (Brian) and her 7 grandchildren Angie, Jason, Misty, Joshua, Justin, Crystal, Christopher and 16 great grandchildren, and siblings Peggy (Larry) Becker, Norma (Loren) Holthaus, Terrie Linden, and Don (Renee) Ellis. She was preceded in death by her parents Roy and Theresa Ellis, her husband Terrell McCart and her daughter Norma McCart.
A special thank you to the staff of Good Samaritan Health Care Center.
A Celebration of Life will be held later this summer at her daughter’s home. Brookside Funeral Home is caring for the family. To share a memory or condolence with the family, please visit www.brooksidefhc.com.
