Stephanie Lynn Valicoff, 39, of Wapato, passed away on January 8, 2018 at Astria Toppenish Hospital. She died of complications due to a short illness. She was born to Steven Crollard and Linda (Stapleton) Crollard on May 7, 1978 in Yakima, WA. She graduated from Wapato High School in 1996. During her child hood days, she enjoyed hunting with her father, as she was his hunting mate. Her senior year in high school she was a foreign exchanges student and lived in Japan for 6 weeks. Stephanie excelled in volleyball and played on club teams traveling around the state.   In 1998 she married her high school sweetheart, Joseph Michael Valdez; they had 2 beautiful children together Alyssa and Markus. They later divorced.

As she was raising her children she worked at US Bank and went to Heritage College, where she earned her Master’s Degree.  She taught 8th grade at Wapato Middle School for 11 years.  She loved her kids in the classroom and was able to bring out the best in each and every one of them. They just adored her as their teacher.
However, she decided to make a career change and alongside her best friend, Rob Valicoff, began to develop a web site that marketed fruit direct to customers in the Seattle area. After a long relationship, she married the love of her life, Rob Valicoff, on July 25, 2015. Together, they were on a journey that led them into the wine business. She enjoyed the time that she spent traveling with her husband from farm to farm, pickup farming, as it was called. She took a special interest and wanted to learn what was going on the farm and asked many questions! During marketing trips to Seattle, customers were amazed of her knowledge and she would jokingly say “Rob cloned me”!
She was always full of excitement and everywhere she went she brought energy to the room. She was a very caring person; one that would make sure everyone was taken care of before her own needs. She would hate if she couldn’t make it to any of the kids’ activities. She loved all her kids as they were all very special and close to her heart.  She loved organizing all family trips, Cancun, spring training, Vegas, Disneyland, Hoopfest, Issaquah basketball tournaments and especially our annual family trip to Lake Chelan that she loved so much.  Steph loved her dogs Jake and Zoey.  She tried to persuade Rob into getting her some goats, as she thoroughly enjoyed watching the ones at the Y on Konnowac Pass.
Stephanie was just that very special person; she will be greatly missed by her family and friends!
Stephanie is survived by her husband, Rob Valicoff, of Wapato, and her children, Alyssa Valdez and Markus Valdez; Step-Mother Laurie Crollard, of Packwood, her brother, Duncan Crollard, of Seattle, step Brothers Reid Long (Monet Frazier), of Seattle, Troy (Amy) Long, of Moses Lake, Step children, Alyssa (Ian) Toms, of Seattle,  Andrea Valicoff (fiancé Christian Petrini), of Seattle, Brett (Brittney) Valicoff, of Yakima, Julia (fiancé Parker Faith), of Seattle, and grandchildren Isla and Ivan Toms. She is also survived by her nieces and nephews, Telei, Treyston, Aaerin and Veda.   She is preceded in death by her parents, Steven and Linda Crollard.
