William Edwin Buccholz, 83, longtime resident, local trucker/owner operator retired, passed away on December 17, 2017 at Prestige Post-Acute and Rehab Center in Ellensburg, after a brief stay there. He was born on May 13, 1934 in Ferndale WA to William F. and Mercedes Buchholz.

He grew up working on the family dairy farm. Due to his father’s health issues the family relocated to Ellensburg. Bill met and married his wife of 45 years Barbara A. Waldron. Together they raised their family in the Kittitas Valley. Bill worked in the trucking industry his entire life. He started off driving for different companies and later he worked his own truck. He enjoyed driving so even on off days he would be found driving Barb and her teammates to their bowling tournaments in the motorhome. Dad was an easy person to talk to, he had plenty of stories to tell to those who would listen, and he never met a stranger.  
Bill is survived by his son’s; Mike (Tina), Mitch (Pam), and Curtis; son-in-law Jay Ulmer; twelve grandchildren and seventeen great grandchildren; many nieces and nephews as well as his companion of 13 years, Mary Littler. He will be greatly missed by all.
He was preceded in death by his parents, wife Barbara and daughter Tami Ulmer.
A celebration of Life will be held in March, the date will be announced at a later time.
