 Harry R. Scott, passed away peacefully on December 5, 2017 surrounded by his loving family. Harry was born in Ellensburg on July 16, 1929 to Harold and Ruth (Charters) Scott. After moving to Yakima, Harry finished his schooling by graduating from Yakima High School with the class of 1947. Soon after graduation, Harry started working for the Department of Transportation as a civil engineer and met and married Kathleen Berghoff. Harry and Kathy settled down and had eight children. 

 
Harry was an avid outdoorsman who loved spending time with his friends and family camping, fishing, hunting, traveling and anything that had to do with nature. Harry also enjoyed his nights competing with the bowling league. He was an active member of the Knights of Columbus with the Ahtanum Mission Council No. 6097. 
 
Harry is survived by his wife of 67 years, Kathleen E. (Berghoff) Scott, five children; Michael & Debra Scott, Luann & Ray Zeutenhorst, Robert Scott, Katie & Joe Ruthford, and David & Angela Scott, and his daughter in law, Sheryl Scott, twelve grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents Harold and Ruth Scott, one daughter and son in law, Shirlee & Al DeMoss, two sons, Gerald & Linda Scott, and James Scott. 
 
Recitation of the Rosary will be Sunday at 5:00pm at Holy Redeemer Catholic Church and a Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will follow Monday morning at 10:00 am also at Holy Redeemer Catholic Church with a luncheon to follow the inurnment at Calvary Cemetery.
