 Justin J. Christensen

Justin’s journey began February 2, 1998, in Yakima, WA and he became our cherished memory November 30, 2017.
He attended Nob Hill Elementary, Wilson Middle School and graduated from Eisenhower High in 2016. He was a student at YVC at the time of his passing. His life was enriched by his many wonderful teachers.
He is survived by his devoted mother Sarah Christensen, loving sister Rachel Christensen, super aunt Shaunn Siekawitch, cribbage partners/fishing buddies uncles Scott Siekawitch and Frank Castro and fellow dog lover aunt Maria Onojchenko, grandparents, Dan and Jeneanne Siekawitch and Sandy Christensen; also, friends Patrick Stewart and Andrew Chavez. Justin lived surrounded by the love of many aunts, uncles & cousins, extended family and friends who are family. He will be greatly missed by his beloved cats Cougar, Callie, Ellie and his faithful dog Chloe & pal Smokey. He is preceded in death by his Father John Christensen Jr., Grandfather John Christensen Sr., and the one and only wonder dog Coco.
His affection for animals was immeasurable. His imagination fueled by Legos and movies, and his love of reading was limitless. On our annual family vacation to Orcas Island, he fished, enjoyed boat rides, played cribbage and Skip-Bo and visited around the campfire. Justin loved the yearly ferry ride. His requested bucket-list trip to Yellowstone, Devil’s Tower and Mount Rushmore was a grand adventure! Ask about BUTT, Montana.
Our wonderful brown-eyed boy now runs free, flashing his infectious smile, spreading joy with his incredible laughter.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Justin’s memory to Parent Project Muscular Dystrophy, Yakima Humane Society or a college fund for his beloved, yet annoying, Sister Rachel.
A Celebration of Life will be at 10am this Saturday, December 9th at Eisenhower High School, 611 S. 44th Avenue, Yakima, WA.Formal attire would offend Justin, but any Seahawks or WSU gear or shirts with sarcastic statements will be right at home.
Goodbyes are not forever. Goodbyes are not the end. They simply mean I’ll miss you, until we meet again.
