 Dorothy Ann Redlin, Dorothy was called to her eternal home on November 28th, 2017; she was born December 21, 1943 in Codington County South Dakota to Roy and Anna Hackbart. She was the eldest of three children. Dorothy married Merlyn D. Redlin August 20, 1961. They moved from South Dakota in 1962 to Idaho, then to Moses Lake. She worked as a manager at Bill’s Market in Moses Lake before moving to the Ellensburg Valley in 1975, where they made their home. She worked for Twin City Foods, Pautzke Bait and was a US Postal carrier in the 90’s in Cle Elum. She resided in her home for 42 years where they raised their sons Bryan and Boyd. She was an amazing lady who could light up any room she walked into and had a wonderful sense of humor and loved life to the fullest. Dorothy always lived in the moment, she never felt rushed to be anywhere else. She was proud of her sons, grandchildren and great grandchildren; her family was her life; she was their inspiration and strength. Dorothy was adored and loved by all who knew her; friends or acquaintances, she just had that personality all loved. She touched many lives and will be greatly missed. Dorothy was a member of Good Hope Evangelical Lutheran Church in Ellensburg and Good Faith Evangelical Lutheran Church in Cle Elum.

She is survived by her brother Leon Hackbart of Watertown, South Dakota, her two sons; Bryan (Mary) Redlin of Ellensburg, Boyd (Deborah Humble) Redlin of Ellensburg, 4 grandchildren; Tyler (Haley) Redlin of Ellensburg, Kortnie (Trevor Flood) Redlin of Ellensburg, Chad (Marina McIlwain) Redlin of Yakima and Cloey (Luke) Garrison of Quincy. Two great grandsons; Trevor and Jaxon Garrison and one great granddaughter; Audrie Ella Rose Redlin and one great grandchild to arrive in May of 2018. She is also survived by many cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.
Dorothy is preceded in death by her parents; Roy and Anna Hackbart of Watertown, South Dakota; her brother Kenneth Hackbart of Moses Lake and her niece Kimberly Hackbart also of Moses Lake, Washington.In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Good Hope Lutheran Church Ladies Aid in care of Brookside Funeral Home, 101 E 2nd Ave. Ellensburg, WA 98926. 

Visitation will be held Tuesday, December 5, from 12:00 to 5:00 at Brookside Funeral Home in Ellensburg. Celebration of Life will be held Wednesday, December 6, at 1:00 p.m. at Good Hope Lutheran Church, 1402 N Brick Rd., Ellensburg a reception will be held following the graveside.
