James Michael Gosney of Yakima, WA passed away on Tuesday afternoon, November 7, 2017 at home with his wife and children by his side.

The family moved to Ellensburg, WA, when Jim was 11 years old. He graduated from Ellensburg High School and received a Bachelor of Science degree from Central Washington University.
Jim worked for the Herald Republic newspaper as a reporter and columnist for many years. He was an avid fisherman, hunter and golfer.
Jim is survived by his wife, Stelle Svihovec- Gosney, his children Kelly Impero, Stacey (Doug) Burge, and Troy (Heidi) Gosney, eight grandchildren Mikaela, McKenzie, and Kyle Impero, Maddie, Scotty, and McKenna Burge, Morgan and Mason Gosney. He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother Bill.
Jim left us with so much to be thankful for. His very calm and patient demeanor was a trait to envy. His dry sense of humor and wit will be remembered and missed.
