Shirley May (Jackson) Naslund, 82, of Zillah, passed away on Saturday, October 28, 2017 at Cottage In The Meadow.  Shirley was born December 10, 1934 in Ashland, Nebraska to Lloyd and Iva Jackson, and came with her parents to Toppenish in 1943. During her school years, she won an award for her prestigious writing ability and graduated Top Hi at the age of 16.  She also entered a painting in the 1960’s at the Yakima State Fair and it was purchased by a man from New York for $25.
On February 17, 1959, Shirley married John Naslund.  She worked at a variety of jobs and was a homemaker.  She had a wonderful sense of humor.
Shirley enjoyed sharing her spiritual hope from the Bible with others, especially about the Paradise she so looked forward to.  She was a faithful member of Jehovah’s Witnesses for the past 60 years.
She will be greatly missed and fondly remembered by her family and friends.
Shirley was preceded in death by her parents.  She is survived by her husband of 57 years, John Naslund, of Zillah, son, Jeff Naslund, of Toppenish, her brothers, and sister-in-law, Doug (Lois) Jackson, of Richland, and Kevin Jackson, of Ellensburg, and a sister, Martha Martin, of Toppenish, and numerous nieces and nephews.  Shirley is also survived by her childhood friend, Ethel Ward Dahl, of Vancouver, WA.
The Memorial Service will be on Saturday, November 4, 2017 at 2:00PM at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses (211 Carlson Ave., Toppenish). 
Shirley will awake on resurrection day in Paradise!
