JoAnn Sexton, Mother, wife, lover, and friend passed peacefully at Cottage in the Meadow August 26, 2017 surrounded by her loved ones.  She is survived by her children, Steven Kinnally, Michael Kinnally, Diane Kinnally, and her grandchildren. JoAnn worked for attorney Walt Dauber, People for People and Conley Engineering.  She was the editor of the Jethro Gazette, with her husband and publisher Terance Sexton.  JoAnn enjoyed playing the piano, oil painting, and sewing which she was very proficient at.  She loved having lunch with her friends and they loved going with her.  She liked going to the Farmers Market, even when it was very hot.  JoAnn worked in the garden often and loved her flowers.  She won several awards.  JoAnn belonged to the Woman's Century Club, Master Gardeners, and Nature Artists Garden Club.  She also volunteered at Memorial Hospital and the Arboretum.  She has lived in Yakima for nearly 30 years.  JoAnn was preceded in death by her husband Terry who loved and cherished her. She brought beauty into the community and into the lives of many.  As Terry would say, “She walks in beauty.”  JoAnn was a sweet soul and will be greatly missed.  
The Memorial Service will be on Sunday, October 8, 2017 at 2:00PM at Living Care Retirement Community’s Sunrise Room (3801 Summitview Ave, Yakima).
