George Raymond Averett, 64, of Yakima, passed away on September 14, 2017 at his home. He was born November 18th, 1952 in Yakima WA. An amazing man of God, he will be best remembered for his love of God, eagles, family, and his country. His love of God was apparent in his selfless service to others. He never tired of helping in any way he could. Though quiet and unassuming, he was a powerhouse in the Lord. Spending time in nature was something he also truly enjoyed. He never tired of God’s masterpiece. The peace he carried was apparent by anyone who was around him. Soar high my friend. We all love and miss you. 
George is survived by siblings Merle Stowell, Rose Kirk, Robert Fuchs Jr., Alvine (Eric) Snodgrass, Patricia Horne, special friends Diana Violette, Tina Bogart, Henry Violette, and numerous nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his father, Walter Averett, his mother, Mary Mullenberg, and brother, Charles Fuchs, and his nephew, Merle Nolan.
Viewing will be held at Brookside Funeral Home (500 W Prospect, Moxee, WA) on Saturday September 23, 2017 from 8:30am-10:30am.  The Memorial Service will follow at 11:00AM at Breakthrough Church (1220 Business Pkwy, Union Gap WA. 98903).  Memorial Contributions can be made to the George Averett GoFund Me Page or sent in care of Brookside Funeral Home (PO Box 1267, Moxee, WA 98936), who is caring for the family.
