David Wesley Pauling of Moxee, WA, passed away on September 6, 2017 at his home. Dave was born on July 22, 1943 in Campbell, MN. To parents Wesley and Delores Pauling.

Dave moved from Minnesota to St. John, Oregon in 1945 and attended grade school and went to Roosevelt High School until 1960. Dave joined the U.S Air Force and served in Laos prior to the Vietnam War. He was stationed in Mountain Home, Idaho and was honorably discharged in 1963. Dave was known by all as C.D. (Crazy Dave)

In 1974, Dave met and married the love of his life, Pamela Andreas. The couple were blessed with two children in addition to Dave’s four and Pam’s two from previous marriages. Dave was a member of the Glaziers Union 995 for 36 years working at Midstate Glass.

Dave was an avid outdoorsman at heart. He loved fishing, hunting, and quading. Family was always included and one grandson referred to grandpa Dave as “a known fisherman. He played softball in his younger years with his brothers-in-law, Larry and Rick along with many friends. Dave always said, “a stranger is a friend you haven’t met yet.” He also would say, “see you around like a wheel or a donut, say your prayers or God will get ya’! In many of his conversations he would say, “I’ll show you horse turds as big as diamonds.” In later years people would say he made the best “apple pie.” Dave lived a great life in his own way with no regrets. He was a wonderful husband, father, grandpa, great-grandpa, brother and friend to anyone that met him. He will be missed by all.
