It is with heavy hearts we say goodbye to one of the most dynamic women in the world. Yvonne "Gammy" Arlene Perry, age 88, passed away peacefully in her sleep on Sunday morning, August 13, 2017 in her home in Moxee, Washington. If you knew Yvonne, you knew she came in a small package. But make no mistake, there was nothing little about this larger than life woman.

Yvonne, born July 14, 1929 in Nampa, Idaho, lived life to its fullest, always wore her heels, and was a kind, loving, feisty, determined and adventurous person. She must not have been told she was born in the Great Depression, because she was always full of joy. Some of her most memorable experiences were in Atlanta, Idaho, where she grew up and attended grade school. Atlanta is still home base for her family, and just this summer she enjoyed a reunion there. The memories made will be cherished forever, and as she would say, “Oh Yeeeeeah Baby!”.
She loved and adored her family, many friends, a glass of wine, and her beloved dog, Gus. Most of her friends will attest that they were more like family, because that’s exactly how Yvonne made everyone feel.
She was a woman of strong faith, believing in the power and strength of Jesus Christ’s love and the beauty and peace that would await her after her passing.  She was reunited with her daughter, Kimberly, her parents, and her sisters in Heaven. Those who love and will deeply miss Yvonne are her husband, Albert Perry, her son, Frank (Sharon) Davis, daughter, Tina (Tom) Toy, step-daughters, Heidi (Clay) Belew and Tracey (Dave) Henderson, step-son, Troy (Sheryl) Perry, her 19 grandchildren, 25 great grandchildren (who were each “Gammy’s boy” or “Gammy’s girl” no matter their age) cousins, nieces, nephews, as well as all those whose lives she deeply touched.
She met and married the love of her life, Albert Perry in 1982. She took great pride in her everyday tasks and caring for others, especially her husband. She was a wife who always involved herself in every detail of her husband’s life, and supported, respected and loved him unconditionally. The two were inseparable.
She was the best hand holder, best pie maker, best wine drinker, best advice giver, best cook, best wife, best friend, best mom, best grandma, and best great grandma. There are no words, just the shared love for this exceptional woman, to express how much we will cherish her memory and miss her presence in our lives.
Please join us in a sharing celebration of Yvonne’s life on Tuesday, August 22nd, at Brookside Funeral Home, in Moxee, Washington at 11:00 am. Reception to follow at Brookside (500 Prospect, Moxee, WA 98936). Brookside Funeral Home is caring for the family.
