Syble Johnson

Syble Johnson was a loving wife, sister, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother who passed away on August 7, 2017, in Yakima, WA.  She was born on April 3, 1939 to parents, Monroe and Grace Walker.  She grew up in Isola, Mississippi with her seven sisters.  She attended Isola High School where she graduated as Valedictorian.  She enjoyed playing basketball and spending time with her siblings during those years.  After graduation, she moved to San Francisco, California, where she went to work for the FBI.  In 1959, she was working for the Department of the Navy when she met John E. Johnson Jr., a young man who was stationed in San Diego, California.  The two of them married the same year and later had three children.  Syble and her family relocated to Yakima, Washington, where she went to work for the Department of the Army, as a Health Benefits Clerk, until her retirement.
Syble is survived by her husband, John E Johnson Jr., and their three children, Diana Kielhorn, Donna (Tom) Douglas, and John E (Kayla) Johnson III, as well as her grandchildren, James (Regina) Kielhorn, Justin (Sarah) Kielhorn, Grace Douglas, and Alison Douglas. She is also survived by her great grandchildren, Riley, Shawn, Jaden, Emily, Ashley, and Michael. Syble is also survived by five of her sisters, Peggy Duke, Nancy Baggett, Sandra Logan, Sue Walker, and Kathryn Gardner.  She is preceded in death by her parents, Monroe and Grace Walker, and sisters, Helen Lyle and Ellen Hudson. 
Visitation is planned for Friday, August 18, 2017 from 10:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. and the Funeral Service will be on Saturday, August 19, 2017 at 1:00 p.m., both at Brookside Funeral Home (500 W Prospect, Moxee, WA).  Final Inurnment will be in Isola, Mississippi.
