Tina May Diamond, born by names irrelevant to us, passed away on June 16, 2017 at the spritely young age of 54. She was born in Southern California and hailed Long Beach as her hometown. She spent years raising hell with her uncle and siblings, and many more years raising her three children, all of whom she was always fiercely proud.

Tina loved helping people and found joy in doing service work; she adored her career and her co-workers at Central Washington University. She often worked odd-jobs and gave resources to non-profits, such as Camp Ten Trees and ASPEN. Over the last 26 years, Tina had a long journey with recovery. She had her last drink on June 24, 2007, and would have been celebrating her 10th birthday in AA this month. Tina was a beautiful and loyal person who always found humor in life, albeit inappropriate at times. Tina loved to dance and partake in rambunctious outings with loved ones; she had a special fondness for Frank’s Hot Sauce, cute animals, and a good slab of meat (not combined…necessarily).
Tina May Diamond left behind many friends and family who loved her, including her children, David, Jamie, and Gabriel; her grandchildren, Ezra, Daniel, and Fiona; her siblings, Richard, Irene, and Jo Ann; and her dog, Paris.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Friday, June 30, 2017, from 12:00-4:00 p.m. in the Manastash Room at the Kittitas County Fairgrounds. This will be a potluck service/dance (dancin’ shoes optional, wear what makes you happy). Attendees are encouraged to bring food and happy memories of Tina to share.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Tina Diamond’s name to Camp Ten Trees (camptentrees.org/donate). Please contact Jamie Meek for further information at (509) 607-0733.
