Theodore (Ted) Lester Dravis passed away May 25, 2017 in Yakima, WA at the Fieldstone Memory Care. Ted was born August 9, 1932 in Tacoma to Theodore and Helen (Roy) Dravis. Ted graduated from Lincoln High School in Tacoma and immediately joined the Marine Corps. He served during the Korean War. He was stationed in Hawaii for four years and always identified as a proud Marine. Upon returning to Tacoma, he worked at various jobs and owned a gas station. He later started selling automotive chemicals and owned his own business for many years in Tacoma. 
 
Ted loved to hunt and fish and owned his own riding horse. He rode the Oregon Trail in Washington State on the 150th year of the Pioneer Spirit Wagon Trail from Ellensburg to Puyallup. 
 
Ted married LaVerne Nelson and moved to Vancouver, WA where he continued his automotive chemical company. He retired in 2007 and took up golfing and traveling. He loved to go to Reno and Las Vegas and play blackjack. He and LaVerne enjoyed traveling in their motorhome and cruising in various parts of the world. Ted loved to dance and said he learned to dance from his sisters in law when they stayed with his family while his brothers were in the service. Ted was very mechanical and could fix almost anything. 
 
Ted and LaVerne moved to Yakima, WA in 2016. 
 
Ted is preceded in death by his parents, and brothers Al, Bernard, and Don and his only son Greg. He is survived by his wife LaVerne Nelson, and granddaughter Michele (Eric) Fauble and grandson, Brian (Julie) Dravis and 3 great grandchildren. We will miss you Ted.
