Juanda Rai Ayres, 76, of Selah, peacefully passed away at her home on May 29, 2017.  She was born on April 1, 1941 in Kettle Falls, WA to Harvey and Grace Flohr.  She married Ronald Ayres on November 9, 1964.  To this marriage was born 4 children, Don, Dena, Jodi, and Tena.
Juanda was an honest and dependable wife and mother.  She was very supportive of her children, and helped coach them, and was their cub scout leader. She was strong willed and loving. She loved hummingbirds, butterflies, and angels.  She loved her grandchildren and attended as many of their sporting and dancing events that she could.  She was a special “G.G” to her great granddaughter, Audrie, and enjoyed their Sunday visits. Juanda loved her family well and left a lasting impression on the lives of those she touched. 
She is survived by her husband of 53 years, Ron Ayres, of Selah, and their children, Don (Julie) Ayres, Dena (David) Berman, Jodi (Robert Franck) Ayres, and Tena (Koen) Swart, all of Yakima.  She is also survived by her grandchildren, Tyler, Kaci, Sydnee, Kaitee, Dakota, Makala, and 1 great granddaughter, Audrie. Juanda is survived by her siblings, Burton Flohr, Maxine Smith, Joyce Burns, Patsy Rosenburg, and Larry Flohr.  She is also preceded in death by her parents, and siblings, Shirley Mae, Don Flohr, Dorothy Harrell, and Betty Sutherland. 
A Celebration of Life is planned for Friday, June 9th, 2017 at 11:00AM, at Brookside Funeral Home (500 W Prospect, Moxee, WA), followed by a reception in the Brookside Gardens. The family suggests memorial contributions be made to Children’s Village, in care of Brookside Funeral Home (PO Box 1267, Moxee, WA 98936), who is caring for the family.
