Geraldine Cooper Schober was born in the Teanaway on May 16, 1921, the daughter of Bruce and Vivian (Cox) Cooper, the youngest of three children.  She passed away on April 30, 2017.
She graduated from Cle Elum High School in 1939.  She and Keith Schober were married on December 22, 1942 and farmed on the Teanaway for over 40 years.
In 1955, Mrs. Schober graduated from Central Washington State College.  She taught grades 1 to 3 for over 20 years, retiring in 1983.
Deanie loved music.  She found particular comfort playing her favorite hymns, The Old Rugged Cross and In the Garden on her piano.  She loved animals and always had a treat for them in her pocket.  Most of all she loved going for a ride on Highway 10 with Keith.
Geraldine is survived by her husband Keith; sons Dan (Maricel) of Visalia, CA and Guy of Ellensburg; grandchildren Kirsten of Walla Walla and Trevor (Akiko) of Ako, Japan and great-granddaughter Willa (Derek) of Seattle.  She is also survived by her niece, Carla of of Ellensburg.  She was the best grandmother, leaving those who loved her with many beautiful memories.
The Schober family would like to thank neighbor Tamara for her caring friendship in recent years.  A private family memorial will be held at a later date.  In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be sent in her name to Kittitas Hospice Friends or the Cle Elum Senior Center.
