Linda Nelle Alexander, 65, of Moxee, peacefully passed away at the Cottage In The Meadow, following a declining struggle with her health.   She was born on November 9, 1951, in Yakima, WA.  She graduated from West Valley High School and went on to receive her Masters of Education from Central Washington University. She married Frederick Alexander on November 12, 1973.

Linda was committed to be a magnificent wife and mom and loved her daughters unconditionally.  She was there for them when they were angelic (and when they weren’t).  She would always just give one of her hugs and tell them that she loved them and was there when they needed her.
Linda dedicated her life to children.  She was a fabulous bus driver, a loving special education teacher, and a friend to the children who needed a friend.  She left an impact on hundreds of children, colleagues, and friends.  Linda made such a difference in so many lives. East Valley lost a wonderful lady when her Lord called her home.
She is survived by her husband, Fred Alexander, of Moxee, and their daughters, Gina (Todd) Harding, Cori (Skeet) Bivins, and Kati (Jason) Redding. She was a special “nan” to her grandchildren, Brett, Delanea, Zoey, Sarahlynn, Joseph, Ella, Olivia, and Charli. Linda is also survived by her mother, Marion Roper, and siblings, Mike Roper, Kurt Roper, and Kris Abshire. She is preceded in death by her parents, Joseph and Phyllis Roper and brothers, David and Craig, and sister, Adaline.
A Celebration of Life is planned for Saturday, May 20th, 2017 at 11:00AM at East Valley Foursquare Church (101 Butterfield Rd., Yakima), followed by a reception at the church. The family suggests that memorial contributions be made to the Shining Star Pageant or Special Olympics, in care of Brookside Funeral Home (PO Box 1267, Moxee, WA 98936), who is caring for the family.
